Who are we ?

  • Sanskriti is an association of like minded Indian families.
  • Founded in December 2007 by few families in Reading,
  • Fosters the rich cultural heritage of India through various socio-cultural events.
  • Professional members now spread all across the UK, like Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, London, Birmingham, Manchester.

Our Objectives

What’s our aim?

  • Provide a platform for like minded Indians in UK to fulfil:
  • Integration for all away from home to share the rich culture of India.
  • Host charity events donating proceeds to cause (s) linked back to India.
  • A warm and inclusive approach to families coming to UK.
  • Promote events with active participation from the expat diaspora.
  • To pass on Indian art forms to the next generation.

Our Approach

A step by step approach over the years hosting festivals  for the Indian community

  • Hosting Saraswati Puja since 2008 with a whole day event of Children’s Workshop and cultural programmes like music, Indian classical dance and drama.
  • Cultural programmes promoting community cohesion and cross-cultural exchanges. Performers are both UK based performers and professional artists.
  • Hosting renowned artists from India showcasing rich Indian heritage among the UK citizens, the expat Indian community and our next generation.
  • Sanskriti extended its repertoire of festivities by hosting Kali Puja (Diwali) for the first time in Reading in 2012.
  • Now hosting the biggest and grandest Kali Puja in UK at exclusive venues in Berkshire
